Preparing for the Procession
While most cities have ordinances making it illegal to enter or leave a procession, cars in a procession do
not have any legal right of way. Certified Escorts provide necessary traffic control and are authorized to stop
traffic from entering or leaving a procession, as well as maintain traffic flow by use of controlled intersections.
